In the movie, The Intern, Robert Deniro’s character says, “I hate to be the feminist here, but…” in protest to the idea that Anne Hathaway’s character should have to accept her husband’s having an affair as a reasonable reaction to her explosive, demanding, successful career. ProMom asked how companies can create systems that truly support women during maternity and the transition back to the work force? And, then they provided some answers.

ProMom has developed a 10 week package which includes one on one meetings with the pregnant employee before going on maternity leave, in house meetings after birth and ongoing meetings once the employee returns to work to provide support to ensure a successful transition back into the workplace. The support includes meetings with managers, and teams as needed to address the needs of the institution and the returning mom and create a better support system and productive culture change!
