Tough Titty said The Kitty, but The Milk’s Still Good

“I don’t want to be someone who…” Well, tough luck, Baby.

You’ve got to own it before you can change it, and if it’s who you are at this particular juncture in time, you’ve got to deal with it. Dealing with it means acknowledging it’s true for now and that you have the power to become something, someone, more personally desirable. If who you’ve become is due to your inherent nature vs. your nurture experience, change may be a little tougher road, but it’s certainly within your control. Regardless, the first step is crucial, we’ve got to first acknowledge and accept where we are and who we have become. And then, we can go about making adjustments.

If the person in the mirror is less than satisfying, so be it. Own it and work with it. Don’t look the other way as it taps you on the shoulder, and utilize all available energy to pretend you just don’t notice. Turn around. Face the reflection straight on. Say “hello” and then settle in for some serious negotiations.
